Working within the Youth Justice System to increase the timeliness and quality of information sent from community teams to secure accommodation.
Changes Made:
Developed & implemented a change programme that involved all 157 community teams implementing a revised set of business processes controlling how information is sent. Also supported a quality audit of the information and helped the teams put in place plans to address the areas requiring improvement.
Delivered Results:
All 157 teams using new process within 12 month period. 36% reduction in incomplete documents received.

A Criminal Justice Intervention Team needed to manage an increasing case load within existing resources and achieve appropriate levels of client care.
Changes Made:
Redesigned care plan which focussed on making plans SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timebound) and brought risk management and care planning together. New tools were developed and implemented for team leaders and managers to monitor case loads and ensure proper case management. Coaching was also given to managers in how to use new tools to achieved improvements.
Delivered Results:
New SMART care plan and a process that monitored case management with relevant KPI's to provide clear management information.

This company need to reduce the time taken to install its products on client sites. Due to high demand for its product it needed to increase capacity with a fixed number of installation teams.
Changes Made:
Evaluation of present installation process and identification of issues especially areas of re-work and duplication. A new process was designed to overcome these issues in a workshop environment with installation teams.
Delivered Results:
A revised process which reduced the total installation time by 30% and some new tools which would help the teams manage the process and their time more effectively.

An open cast gold mine where operations were not achieving the necessary monthly production targets.
Changes Made:
Redesign of management processes including target setting, hourly and daily reporting, scheduled maintenance, shift hand over, as well as weekly, monthly planning. Coaching of front line supervisors and senior mine management in short interval control and other management techniques.
Delivered Results:
The combination of new processes and better supervision and planning led to a 11% increase in productivity with a 5% reduction in cost per unit.
